Xiaomi has launched its third Android One smartphone in India, Xiaomi Mi A3, today known for budget smartphones. This is an improved version of the Mi A2 smartphone launched in India last year. With the launch of this new Mi A3, we can see that the Mi A3 is looking to become a better camera smartphone and Xiaomi is trying to change its usual tradition. No doubt the Xiaomi Mi A3 is a much improved version of the Mi A2 smartphone in all aspects design, hardware, cameras, battery.
In terms of sales, the first Indian sale of the Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone is scheduled to take place on August 23rd via Amazon India and the company's official Mi.com e-commerce platform.
Xiaomi has brought its 3.5mm headphone jack back through the Mi A3. This is the first time that an Android One smartphone from Xiaomi has three rear cameras and a USB Type C port.
As far as camera is concerned, the Mi A3 has a triple camera system on the back panel of the smartphone. That means there is a 48MP-sized primary camera + 8MP-sized ultra-wide lens camera + 2MP-sized portrait camera. Its 48MP camera uses the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Sony 48MP sensor featured in the Redmi K20 Pro. As for the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera. This smartphone camera sits inside the Dot drop notch design on the display. The company said that these cameras have several AI features that enhance photos.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Supports memory expansion of up to 256 GB. It also supports UFS 2.1 flash storage.
The smartphone features a 6.08-inch AMOLED display. It offers a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels and a screen ratio of 19.5: 9. Like the recently launched Redmi smartphones, the Mi A3 is backed by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and protected by the front.
As for connectivity support, it has 4G dual SIM support + microSD slot, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm hedgehog port, AI face unlock. Another highlight of the Mi A3 smartphone is its 7th gen in-display fingerprint sensor. It is worth noting that there is no fingerprint sensor on the bottom of the screen on any Mi A series smartphone released so far.
It is powered by a 4030mAh battery with support for Fast Charge 3.0 and 18W Fast Charge. As far as software is concerned, the Mi A3 features Android One Os. MIUI did not tell the company. This means that there will be no ads and bloatware on this xiaomi smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 comes to India under a total of two memory variants. The base model 4GB RAM + 64GB variant is available for Rs. 12,999.
The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant is available for Rs 15,999. The smartphone will be bundled under three color variations called More than White, Not Just Blue and Kind of Gray at the time of sale.
